MercyAscot gets pink during Pink Ribbon Walk in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in support of Pink October, almost 80 MercyAscot staff joined thousands of other New Zealanders on the Pink Ribbon Walk in Auckland to raise awareness and funds to help beat breast cancer.

MercyAscot announces new name launching in 2025

Our association with the Mercy name is coming to a close, as we always knew it would, and now is the time to build our own identity. The addition of the new theatre block at Mercy Hospital in 2025 is the perfect time to make this change. And, because we believe in simplifying healthcare, we’ve decided to simplify our name, too. So we’re bringing our brands together into one house.

Ko Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - Māori Language Week 

This week we celebrate Māori Language Week, commemorating the presentation of the Māori Language Petition to parliament on 14 September 1972. It has been marked every year since 1975. The theme for this year’s Te Wiki is ‘Ake ake ake – A Forever Language’, representing the resilience, adaptability and endurance of te reo Māori. It also reflects our commitment to embrace and learn te reo Māori long into the future.

Blue September – Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Every day, 10 Kiwis* are told that they have prostate cancer, and tragically, over 700* die from the disease each year. So, if you haven’t been directly affected, it is very likely that you know of someone who has or will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

MERCYASCOT LAUNCHES ONLINE ADMISSIONS PLATFORM FOR PATIENTS

MercyAscot is delighted to announce that patients can now register easily and securely via our online admissions platform before coming into hospital. Offering a digital option for our patients removes the need for paper forms to be physically distributed and removes the need for completed forms to be scanned or posted. In addition, the registration can be processed much faster as the patient’s data is submitted to our Pre-Admissions team in real-time.
